42-week Pregnancy Planner for the Mindful Mom-to-be

Those old pregnancy journals that track belly bump photos and milestones just weren’t cutting it for me. While that is all cute stuff, I’m just not a scrapbook type of mom.

I am, however, borderline type-A and I thrive with organization. I’m also really into mindfulness, journaling, affirmations and all things woo.

So what’s a Doula to do when the thing she needs doesn’t exist? Make it.

42-week pregnancy planner

Thus, the 42-week Pregnancy Planner was born. If you just found out you’re pregnant, this is perfect to get started planning during your pregnancy.

And if you’re looking for a gift to get your pregnant friend, this is it!

In the weekly pregnancy planner, you’ll find:

Weekly positive pregnancy affirmations

Here are a few of my favorites:

  • “I am perfect. My body is perfect.”

  • “I trust my intuition.”

Weekly pregnancy tips

These were chosen by trimester, so that they apply to the phase of pregnancy that you’re in. For example, week 16 reads “This is a great week for researching and beginning to interview potential doulas. Doulas mother the mother.

Weekly journal prompts

Pregnancy hormones are wild, am I right? I chose weekly journal prompts to inspire you to slow down and reflect inward throughout your pregnancy. For example, week 18 reads, “How might my expectations of birth affect my reality?”

Word of the week

Each week, I’ve chosen a word to reflect the weeks, theme, message and vibe. For example, words such as relax, trust and nurture were included to help you focus on a core desired feeling.

Weekly pregnancy to-do list

There’s SO much to do to prepare for baby. To help you stay organized and remain calm, I’ve included a section for each week called “Get to do list.”

Encouraging thoughts

Each week, you’ll find encouraging thoughts to support you through the emotional roller coaster that is pregnancy. I know it’s a wild ride - I’ve been there a few times myself.

Monthly pregnancy planning calendar

In addition to the weekly pregnancy planner layout, you’ll find a undated monthly calendars for a ‘month at a glance.’

Prenatal visits section

In this section, you can make notes of questions to ask your OB or midwife. As you think of questions, jot them down here and bring to your prenatal visit to have more in depth conversations with  your provider.

Hospital tour

As you work through your birth plan (grab your free template in the freebie library), be sure to keep a list of questions in this section of your planner and bring to the hospital tour. Anything that’s not protocol, be sure to include in your birth plan so that everyone knows your wishes for the big day.

Pediatrician interviews

In this section, there are several suggested questions to ask on pediatrician interviews, and space to write down your thoughts.

Chiropractor visits

If you’re not already seeing a Webster Certified Chiropractor during pregnancy, this is a must. In this section, you can keep notes of their suggested at home plans for stretching and exercise.

Birth classes

In this section, you can keep track of the birth classes available in your area, online options (shameless plug for my online birth courses that you can watch in your PJs).
