Episode 151 transcript:

So I remember when I first got started in online business and I first heard that people were actually making six figures working online.

Like they were working from home building six figure businesses. And as I told you before, this was like 2017, shortly after my second job was born, my feedback, and as I've told you before, I read loads and loads of blogs, and there was one particular blogger who talked a lot about how to make six figures online.

And I remember feeling just wildly overwhelmed, overwhelmed by all of these areas that they were talking about. And there was this like language that I didn't understand.

I had to research everything. And I spent countless hours, um, reading blog posts, watching YouTube tutorials, eventually, uh, pod listening to podcasts, watching courses, buying courses, and learning all of these things one at a time.

Um, and so over time, I, I have a, an evolved understanding of the language, right? And I've also been integrating and doing these things.

So I've been learning along the way and that's what inspired the upcoming course that I'm teaching. And also this podcast episode.

So the podcast episode is 12 areas of online business that can feel like mental gymnastics because I remember I've been there and it wasn't that long ago, and I was like, dear in the headlights, like, what are they talking about?

What does that actually mean? And then to make it even more confusing, it seemed like everybody had different beliefs about a lot of these things.

And I just thought, okay, I don't know what is going on <laugh>. I don't know who has it, right? Um, especially, you know, I've mentioned a lot about human design lately, especially being a projector.

I have open, uh, centers in my energy body. And so what that means for me is I have tended to take on a lot of conditioning.

There are areas that are more prone to conditioning, i e picking up other people's stuff, right? So in probably the last year is when I've been really heavily deconditioning even from influences, uh, within the last couple of years in my life and more specifically in my business.

And so I decided this morning that I wanted to share with you 12 areas that I'm gonna be teaching on in the upcoming seven figure strategy.

So in case you've missed it, seven figure strategy is a live 10 week course where we're gonna be talking about all of these areas plus.

And so what I've decided to do in this episode is give you one liner explanations that really sum it up in a nutshell.

Um, and I'm gonna give you a little bit of a, a forecast to explain how I teach. And if you are a podcast Listener that you've heard me on other episodes, you probably already get my vibe.

You get how I approach doing business. I have this like structured flow or another way to say that a flowy structure to myself.

I used to be structure, structure, structure, um, but lately I've really been embracing and allowing more flow in. And I also incorporate quite a bit of energy healing and spirituality.

So there's this balance of masculine and fem feminine energy in the way I do life business. And then of course the way I teach and guide.

And so I hope that the podcast gives you a feel for how I am, because how I am here is how I am in the courses.

Um, now I should say, I'm gonna walk you through 12 of these areas right now. And before I do, just know that the point of this episode is really just to give you very basic understanding of what that thing is because this was something I really, really, really needed in the early days.

People were over complicating all of it. And that is not the goal here. And then in the course in the seven figure strategy program, we're gonna go a lot deeper because it's 10 plus modules over 10 weeks.

So to be honest, I have 12 invi, um, calendar spots set aside for time in the course. So there's gonna be at least 10 teaching modules, and I anticipate at least two q and a, meaning you get my direct guidance on those q and a.

The value of that is beyond. So it's not just gonna be you log in and watch the course and go diy.

It's a much more, um, intimate experience because you'll have my guidance throughout and there's a peer support community. Uh, it hasn't opened yet, but when you join, there's a link to the Facebook group.

It'll open officially when we start. So we're starting on the 17th and then we go for 10 weeks. So right before we get started, you'll have access to the Facebook group.

That's where all of the replays will be housed until my portal is set up for this particular course. And that's where we can talk about what you're doing with what we're teaching.

So I'm gonna teach in each module. So each topic that I'm telling you about today is gonna have its own class, its own module.

So it's gonna be a lot deeper than a one liner, right? We're gonna talk about the nuances of it and the evolution of these different topics.

Um, where we started learning about it and frankly like looking back on some of my older courses, like course creation for doulas, selling courses, audience expansion, where they were two, three years ago, and what's been happening since then.

And how, quite frankly, where I think we're going in these areas, because the point isn't to teach where we're at now, in my opinion, and something I've been playing with lately is teaching to where we're going.

We need to be looking forward. And I believe we're moving into a new era of the way we're doing business, a new business paradigm.

I mean, not just in business, but for the fall, for right now, we're talking business. And yeah, so that's what I wanted to tell you before we jump in.

Um, you can still get in, there's a link in the show notes or you can head to my Instagram and there's links all on my Instagram.

I'm at Nicole Joy, actually, it's Nicole underscore joy underscore underscore. And there's links there that you can find out information.

Um, the cost is $777. Now I, there are options when you join. So if you just want this course, it's $777 for the 10 week, uh, program.

If you know you wanna work with me for the whole year of courses, I have courses coming out in the winter, in the spring and in the summer and there's topics and everything listed.

When you go to that page, just scroll down to the other options. I have a class pass now. So if you join for the class pass, it gives you the whole year of all of the live teachings that I'm planning and then anything else that comes up that's a class master class or type, something like that.

And the class pass is priced with some savings of course, because you're with me for the whole year. So 7 77 for this quarter, or 22, 22 for the year.

And I think the savings comes out to like 28%. There's another option that you'll see on that page and that's if you want to go deeper and you wanna be in the small group integration, and I'm calling that vibrational integration pass.

So V I P is a V I P vibrational integration pass. The cost is 44 44, it's 12 months. We meet twice a month on Zoom as a small group.

And we go deeper, Okay, what have we been talking about this week and this month, let's go deeper. So basically what I'm telling you is you get to choose your own path.

It's kind of like those old books from um, when we were kids that choose your own path stories. It's like that.

And if money is an issue for you right now and you are in a very real situation where you just don't have access to funds, but you do think that this would be incredibly helpful for you, I urge you to apply for the scholarship.

I have made a scholarship available for people who just don't have access to funds right now. What you should know about the scholarship program is, well, for one, I highly believe in, again, where we're going is creating accessibility for our work, creating accessibility to our work for the people who need it the most perhaps, and don't have access to resources right now to pay for it.

I believe that they deserve support. Now this doesn't mean that I'm like, Yeah, come in and I'll, you know, Mentor you one on one for free forever for everybody.

Like, I can't do that. I only have so much energy. However, I do have space available for sponsorships, uh, scholarships.

So the other thing about the scholarships is know that this is a trust thing. You know, this is an honor system.

I trust you. I trust us. I'm not going to ask you on the scholarship application how much you make. It's none of my business.

I don't need to know how much is in your bank account. It doesn't feel like it's any of my business.

I trust that you know what you can do, right? So everything that you need to know is at the link in the show notes.

And without further ado, let's get started. So number one, course creation. My one liner for course creation is a course on any one of your areas of expertise, either taught online or in person.

Side note, ultimately you're probably gonna have multiple courses within possibly months a year. You probably already, honestly, if you're listening to this, you probably already have at least three course ideas in your head.

There's nothing wrong with that. That's actually a beautiful thing. I love it. Let's keep doing it. Number two, content creation.

This is your messages, your knowledge, the inspiration and information that you are here to share with your community on social media and other areas online.

Number three, kind of related to content creation, but it actually has its own category. Storytelling. Storytelling is how you can bring your experience and context into the information that you know, the stuff that you teach and share with your community.

Online storytelling, uh, I'm about to give it a second liner and I need to stop myself. This is really hard for me.

You know how much I like to talk. I'm a sound boarding projector in human design. So I talk and me trying to fit these into one liners is painful.

I will tell you that. Okay? Number four, email marketing. Email marketing is basically a system for staying connected to your community via email.

That's way more reliable than the finicky social media. Number five sales pages. A sales page is a page on your website that gives information about a course, a program, or some other type of offering that you have for your community.

Number six, social proof. Social proof is digital street cred. Number seven, launching. Launching your offers is really just when you've created the thing.

For example, a course launching is how you get it out to the world. Number eight, branding. Branding is simply your expression online.

Number nine, nicheing your natural niche is the thread that connects the people who you're here to help. That's it. Number 10, program creation.

And we're talking about like small groups, memberships, et cetera. Programs are the containers through which you can help your people.

Number 11, selling. Selling is just inviting people who already know, like, and trust you to work together. Number 12, marketing.

Marketing is really just a conversation about how you can help people. And then there's two others that I did not put a one liner for because I feel like they're kind of like, you probably already know what they are, but know that those are topics that we're gonna go deeper in in seven figure strategy.

So those are strategy of course, and pricing, because pricing is a, is a mental gymnastics mind screw. Now the reason that I'm gonna take you through all of these together and the course and the program is going to be a very interactive thing.

My goal isn't just to teach JT and walk away. My goal is to teach you, but also for you to talk back to me so that I can help you try it on, customize it to build your seven figure business or whatever version of business that you wanna build your dreamy business.

And you might know that I'm a Peloton fan. And so there's a Peloton instructor, Robin, our song, and Robin says sometimes, Yeah, I know this sucks.

This really sucks. Like when she's gonna push you really hard through a climb on the bike, on the, on the spinning bike and you turn up your resistance incredibly high and it's like, it's miserable.

You know? It's very hard. And she says, I know this sucks and that's why we're doing it together. And she does this smile like it's just the funniest thing, funniest smile cuz like she knows, she knows she's right and she knows we're gonna do it together.

And so that's the thing about this. In the beginning, These things feel like such mental gymnastics and they feel so hard and you're like, Oh, this sucks.

And that's why we're gonna do it together. Because truly it doesn't suck. It doesn't have to suck. It can be overwhelming and it can be a lot of information.

And also we can simplify it. We really get to make it simpler and we get to mold these topics to fit you, not to fit everybody else out there.

In the world of online business, they have their own molds, they have their own strategies, they have their own business structure.

We're not meant to structure like them. Uh, I wrote a post this morning, actually, I side note, Okay, gotta share something else.

This morning I went for a 45 minute walk and it was absolutely beautiful outside. And I had three ideas of things I wanted to share with you, three messages.

And so I opened the note section of my phone and just started typing. And by the time I got home, I was like, Whoa, I had three posts that I need to share today.

So by the time you hear this, I'm probably already gonna have sh shared it, but I'm gonna read one of them to you.

Now, the traditional template package for birth doula services includes two NA prenatal visits, continuous support during labor. Sometimes there's occasional time limits, an hour or so after birth and one postpartum visit.

So maybe I'm a needy B, like B I T C, or maybe new parents as a whole aren't getting the support that they need.

And to be clear, this is no judge against doulas. I mean, who knows where this model, this traditional model of business originated anyway.

And I started with this model too, just being transparent. We enter a new profession fired up by our mission, and then we have no clue how to do the business things.

So we look to others' templates, and this happens over and over again to the point that somehow it became industry standard.

Fast forward to reason number 8,150, why we burn out, why new entrepreneurs burnout. This strategy doesn't just, or this concept, sorry, doesn't just apply to birth work.

Look at your industry, it might be something else. Where have you applied someone else's strategy? Because it works, right? And again, no judge, I've done it too.

In fact, I've done it so many times in the past five years and that I've learned so many ways it didn't work for me, that actually worked beautifully for others and vice versa.

Hello? Hi. Waving my hand because I'm, I have a three line in my chart. So the beautiful thing about my journey is that I've learned a lot of ways to strategize an online business.

And let me tell you, none of them are one size fits all. So the way that I teach is comparable to knowing your options in Birth.

I mean business <laugh>. The way to build your seven figure business is by customizing your strategy and your structure. Invite you to join me so that you can start building your way.

Okay? So that was one of the posts that I wrote this morning and it just got me thinking so much about how we try on other people's things.

And until we have the confidence and the trust, really the trust that we have this innate knowing. So part of my job in all of the work that I do with you, whether it's here on the podcast or in these containers, is to ignite something in you, but also to shed light.

To shed light on how you can trust yourself to get you back to what's inside of you and to help you lean into your own internal guidance.

It's in there and I can see yours arguably, sometimes better than I can see my own. Okay, So that's what I've got for this week.

I hope it's been helpful and did this land, I'd love to hear from you. My inbox is open, my dms are open.

Did this episode land for you? Have a beautiful week, friends. I hope to see you inside of seven Figure Strategy.
