Allow me to reintroduce myself

I’m Nichole Joy, the host of this podcast, founder of the Online Business School Membership, and Spiritual Business Mentor. I’m a corporate dropout turned Birth Pro (Doula / CBE), turned energy healing practitioner / spiritual business mentor. I’m also head over heels in love with my family - my husband, three of the most amazing little humans on the planet (biased much?) and our dog.

For the past several years, I’ve been peeling off the layers of conditioning in every area of my life and business… including in the physical. I’ve tossed my scale, had my breast implants removed, quit hormonal birth control and stopped using heat products on my hair. In the process, I've fallen back in love with my itty bitties, the magic & power of my cycle, and my natural wavy / curly-ish hair. 

I’m a Self Projected Projector (HD), serial entrepreneur, dedicated to healing & expansion, who is currently learning how to play more. I swoon over coffee dates and conversation about all things energy, spirituality and remembering our true selves.

With 3 very different births under my belt (C-section, VBAC in the hospital with drugs, and an unassisted home birth), I believe to my core that birth is a catalyst for transformation, expansion & sometimes, business. Let’s build yours. 

My approach to business

I’ve forever and ever been a major left brain, logical, structured thinker. Think straight As in math, with minimal effort. It always came very easily to me.

This foundation is helpful in business - strategizing, planning and structuring businesses.

Until I started to experience spaces like birth and energetics on a deeper level, where there can be more grey area. Where sometimes the math that we were taught doesn’t really matter (i.e. speed of dilation / effacement, baby’s estimated weight, etc). Where it’s no longer ‘see it to believe it’, but ‘believe it to see it.’

Over the last few years, I’ve incorporated a heavy dose of energy work, healing and magic into my business. It’s a lot to explain on a welcome back podcast episode; so I’ll share more as we go along.

A little background on the rebirth of the podcast:

Last fall, I started being visited by snakes. Like, in real life. Yes, ew. (refer to episode 107: A divine sign of evolution in your business for the original story). Snake symbolism (read the card).

All the while, it felt like I was outgrowing parts of the business. It felt like a garment that didn’t quite fit. I didn’t like the feeling of trying to fit into a box (even though that goes against what most digital marketing experts would tell you about how to approach business: niche niche niche! More on that later)

I found myself no longer only supporting birth professionals. Either my clients were expanding into new territory (with my support in other areas), or folks outside of the birth world were taking note of my work / purchasing my courses / etc. And I felt ready to zoom out. The internal calibration that had been happening for months was ready to occur externally.

What’s to come on the podcast: the same me, only not. More of my business / woo / spirituality talk - evolved. More business birth stories, where I invite my clients to share the story of their business on the podcast. 

Unschooling

A few months back, ‘unschool your business’ landed in my head when I was stepping out of the shower. Water is magic, y’all.

I realized that as we are deprogramming so much of our lives, it would be helpful to unschool our businesses as well. I’ll be weaving this thread into future episodes, to gently guide you.
